16" x 20" Polychromos Pencil on Rives BFK. "Cherry" About a year ago Lesia and I were walking back to Koldshoulder and noticed this beautiful classic car. I knew at some point that I would want to make a piece from this beautiful day and my appreciation for anything with great design, especially cars. Whoever owned this car, loved it. I have used Lesia's photography as references before, but want to start using it more. We tend to look at things from a very similar end result... with our own way of getting there. I know that her perspective capturing the event or moment in time through a lens with my memory of the event and artistic style will produce something unique pushing my art.
I intended to have this finished for a contest entry, but it was my first stab at colored pencils and I really had to take my time. This piece was quite difficult for me, and I learned a lot from it, so I am excited to start a new piece in this medium. I'm entering this piece in a different contest this month & I will update you to any news, but this pieces is also for sale. Send me a message if interested. Enjoy and have a good day!
