“David Bowie” 30cm x 30cm, oil on board (for sale) This was a great piece to create, and challenging. While laying out the piece before putting in the details @davidbowie music was rocking out in the background. When the fine details were started, I had to stop listening since dancing and painting eyes is extremely difficult. The challenge for this piece was bringing the album cover “Changes” from black and white into a colorized version. Also, many might think he has different color eyes. They are not. One of them is permanently dilated due to an injury, which gives them a unique look. Enjoy and let me know what you think. 30cm x 30cm oil on wood panel It is a former Catholic convent in Tomar, Portugal. Originally a 12th-century Templar stronghold, when the order was dissolved in the 14th century the Portuguese branch was turned into the Knights of the Order of Christ, that later supported Portugal's maritime discoveries of the 15th century. The convent and castle complex is a historic and cultural monument and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. #art #arte #artwork #artist #artforsale #france #oilpainting #landscapeoilpainting #seankalleyart #maritime Cassis$400.00 30cm x 40cm oil on panel A walk in the bay of Cassis, France revealed a beautiful scene that needed to be painted. I have always a little difficulty painting maritime scenes, and it is great to see the skill level progressing. #art #artwork #artforsale #arte #artist #france #boats #sea #cassis #landscapeoilpainting #outsiderart #createdtocreate #seankalleyart 30cm x 30 cm oil on wood board The area was under the control of the Moors during the Islamic period of Portugal's history before it was stormed by the legendary Portuguese warrior Geraldo Sem Pavor (Gerald the Fearless) in 1167. This was part of the campaign that also saw the capture of the Castle of Evoramonte (Castelo de Evoramonte). It was then given to the Knights Templar and later the Order of Christ to garrison. The castle became one of a series of forts kept by King Dinis (1261-1325) to protect the border with Castile. #art #arte #artwork #artist #artforsale #artexhibition #seankalleyart #outsiderart #portugal #landscapeoilpainting |
