Chris Cox is a mixed media artist working in Portland, OR. His recent body of work,Mountains as Molehills, is an experimentation of color, form and composition. Using limited color pallets and simplified forms and techniques, Chris' work vies to translate the surrounding world and familiarity of everyday life with a whisper of information at a time. The minimalistic approach gives the viewers the essence of what each work represents while providing a glimpse of the natural world. The body of work as a whole is an ode to nature; it takes the monumental features of the natural world and re-contextualizes them into a simplified form.
